Federici Ready for the 2020/21 Season

Federici

With the final week of pre-season upon us, Macarthur FC gloveman Adam Federici expressed his readiness for the start of the 2020/21 A-League season.

“It’s all pretty exciting to join a new club and play at home for the first time in my professional career.”

“Having been based in the UK for a large part of my career, to have the opportunity to come home and be part of a new club in the A-League playing in front of family and friends is something I’m very excited about.”

“I have very fond memories from my time overseas, having played in some great matches. My hope this season is to use my experience to help assist some of the younger members in our playing squad.”

Speaking of the inaugural Bulls squad Federici said:

“We’ve got a really nice mix and balance of experienced and youthful players, both local and abroad.”

“Players like Millsy (Mark Milligan), Franjic (Ivan) and Tommy (Oar), plus our foreign players like Derbyshire (Matt), Loic Puyo have really fitted into training well. To have two very experienced players of Benat (Etxebarria) and Markel’s (Susaeta) calibre at our club is a great boost for the club and something I think the fans will enjoy see play.”

Federici went onto say he was excited to open the season with a derby against Wanderers.

“It’s a new rivalry to the league. I’m excited to play our first match of the season as a new club.”

“You could have picked either of the Sydney teams to open the season and they would have been great games, but this one against Wanderers will be particularly special.”
